Women\u2019s Cricket<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Wanderers Club is home to a thriving women’s cricket community, offering opportunities for players of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to provincial players. <\/span><\/p>\n

Our dynamic teams, the Chariots and Athenas, compete passionately in their respective leagues, showcasing the club\u2019s commitment to excellence in women’s cricket. <\/span>The Chariots, reigning champions of the prestigious McDonald’s T20 for the 2025\/26 season, have also represented the club and province at the CSA Women’s T20 Club Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both teams are dedicated to fostering a competitive yet supportive environment, with training sessions held every Wednesday and Friday from 16:30 to 18:00 at the Wanderers Ovals. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, Wanderers Club provides the perfect platform to grow and excel in the sport.<\/span><\/p>\n

Congratulations Kirstie!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The evergreen Kirstie Thomson won the DP World Player of the Season award for the DP World Lions women\u2019s team. She topped the batting averages in both the One-Day Cup and the T20 competition. She averaged 51.66 at a strike-rate of 90 in the 50-over tournament and 42.16 at a strike-rate of 117 in the T20s.<\/p>\n<\/div>
