BIZHUB HIGHVELD LIONS AND GAUTENG CRICKET BOARD AWARDS RECOGNISE EXCELLENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Gauteng Cricket Board (GCB) and bizhub Highveld Lions hosted the biggest ever joint awards function at the Wanderers Club last night.<\/p>\n

The event has grown in the past few years to include, over and above the very important club level, also other parts of the cricket pipeline and the bizhub Highveld Lions.<\/p>\n

Thabang Moroe, GCB President and bizhub Highveld Lions Chairman, values this event. \u201cThis evening annually gives us the opportunity to celebrate exceptional performances of all involved with the administration of the sport under these two bodies,\u201d Moroe said.<\/p>\n

Moroe also congratulated the awards recipients: \u201cEach award is testament to hard work, many hours and a clear determination to succeed. A special thank you to the supporters and participants of our Amateur cricket section of the evening. We need this leg of our company to be as healthy as possible to ensure the future of the GCB.\u201d<\/p>\n

Greg Fredericks, GCB and bizhub Highveld Lions Chief Executive Officer, sees this as a highlight on the event calendar. \u201cI get the feeling that the GCB, Bidvest Wanderers and bizhub Highveld Lions have experienced a somewhat \u2018Golden Season\u2019 in the progress that we have made both on the field and off\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese milestones should be celebrated and the gathering of players, administrators, coaches and supporters is the perfect opportunity to do so,\u201d Fredericks commented.<\/p>\n
