The Wanderers Cricket Club is pleased to announce Kreeson Naicker as its new men’s head coach.<\/p>\n

Kreeson is no stranger to the Wanderers community, having been assistant coach for a number of seasons and captain of the 2nd<\/sup> XI.<\/p>\n

He has been a dedicated member of the club for more that 10 years, developing a successful pipeline of players for the premier league squad and beyond.<\/p>\n

In addition, Kreeson comes with significant experience having coached at various levels throughout his career including grassroots development, school cricket, provincial age group and premier league level in the UK.<\/p>\n

As a player, he played provincial cricket at the various age group levels for North West Province. He then attended the Highveld Lions Academy which led to him playing 1st class cricket for North West and selection for South Africa Under 19s, playing a test against an Indian team that included Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja.<\/p>\n

In welcoming him to his new role the club Chairman, Frank Auger, said that Kreeson\u2019s application stood out \u201cbecause he had a clear vision on how to take the club forward by building an internal culture and developing brand of cricket that will excite all members\u201d. He added, \u201cit is also pleasing that after a rigorous recruitment process, it was one of our own that came to the top\u201d.<\/p>\n

All at Wanderers Cricket Club wish Kreeson well in his new journey and beginning a new chapter for the club more than 130 years after it was established.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
