Wanderers Junior Cricket

To all budding cricketers (Boys and Girls).
Wanderers Junior Cricket would like to invite you to come join us every Saturday for a morning of learning and improving your cricket.

Do you have the drive to be the next South African cricketer, a Kagiso Rabada or Aiden Markram? A Laura Wolvaardt or Marizanne Kapp? Then come and join us.

From 6 to 15 years old with qualified coaches.

All Wanderers junior cricketers are required to be members of the Wanderers Club.

“Prestige” – member of all sporting sections of the Wanderers Club, no additional levy to be paid.
Under 13: R3,500
Under 18: R3,925

For members that only want to play cricket there is the option of “Ordinary” membership.

Ordinary members are required to pay a levy in addition to the club membership fee.
Under 13: Membership R1,400, Levy R1,780
Under 18: Membership R1,400, Levy R1,780

What does my child need for practice?

  • Wanderers Cricket kit (Red warm-up shirt and white match shirt/ socks / white shorts or longs – see below)
  • Leather cricket ball (Up to u11 – 113g ball, u12/u14 – 135g ball, Colts -154g ball)
  • Batting pads, gloves, thigh pad, abdo guard, helmet
  • Wicket keepers must have their own gloves and pads
  • Wanderers Cricket Cap – blue for Juniors and black under 13’s and older. Black baggy caps or wide brim hat is acceptable
  • Sun protection
  • Water bottle – COVID protocols require each player to provide for themselves and NO sharing

If allergic to bees etc please make sure the necessary medication is easily available and make the coaches aware

Kit
All Wanderers Junior cricket players must wear the Wanderers Cricket kit for all practices and tournaments.
